With the Mets down a pitcher Claudio Vargas not Jon Neise will most likely get start Friday

With John Maine on the DL the Mets Need a starter for Friday nights game. It won't be Jon Neise. He is scheduled to start this Monday for New Orleans so he would only be on 3 days rest .
Since the Mets don't like to use 2 left handers in a row it won't be Ollie Perez either.

Claudio Vargas right now looks like the front runner in regards to getting a spot start this coming Friday
