Ok that can be taken 2 ways..One that he is just happy the Mets finally won a game. What I actually mean its such a welcome relief to see him interviewed in the clubhouse after a game instead of Willie Randolph. No one will ever describe Jerry has stoic. He has a very upfront way of handling things plus he has a good sense of humor.
When asked what he expected out of Johan Santana for Thursdays start , he said 9 innings and a 170 pitches with a chuckle. I'm sure part of the laughter came out of the relief of seeing his team hold on for a win.
