Mets hold on barely , Use 7 relievers Win 9-7

This is getting exhausting. If you watched tonight's Met game you know that no lead was safe. I was on the phone with my friend who is a die hard Met fan when the score was 7-2 and he was like the Mets will lose this lead. I agreed. The other night Met fans showed 0 confidence in this team when SNY ran a poll where close to 50% thought the Mets wouldn't make the playoffs.

The Mets used 7 relievers to hold on to a game against the the last place Nationals.

Stars of this game are Carlos Beltran who had a home run from each side of the plate. Jose Reyes who everyone in the Media was panning saying he is running on empty just like last September. Well he had 2 hits including a home run with 2 runs scored and a stolen base.

Also Brandon Knight who struggled to make it through 5 innings. He gutted it out in the 5th inning. He had 2 men on and no out and worked out of the jam !! kudos!

He also gets his first Major League win.

Mets don't lose or gain any ground in the NL East since the Phillies won and the Brewers just beat the Cubs so the Mets are 1/2 game out of NL East lead and 1/2 game up in the Wild Card.
