I must thank and congratulate Ian O'Connor for his article Mets, Manuel don't deserve to choke again.
In this article, O'Connor says if the Mets don't make the play-offs this year, the Mets won't necessarily have choked. They haven't had larger than a 3.5 game lead this year, and they are playing better ball than a year ago.
O'Connor also goes into great detail the honesty and humanity Jerry Manuel has shown in dealing with all the questions and references to last year's collapse. Manuel hasn't run away from last year's collapse, and admits the Mets blew it, and played tight.

As we have both said its tough to watch but this year is different. The Mets will rebound. They never had the lead the 07 Mets had.
