Mets need a Reliever? Bring Back Darren Oliver

No one seem to mention Darren Oliver. Of course he isn't a high price player. He did though perform pretty well for the Mets and the last 2 years for the Angels. The Mets since he left are playing patch work when it comes to having a long reliever . They Had Aaron Sealy in 07 . A bunch of Mets had that role in 08. The man gets the job done.

Darren numbers for 08 were 7 wins 1 loss and a ERA under 3. In 72 innings he had 16 walks and gave up only 5 home runs.

He allowed lefties to bat only .229 against him.

The guy just turned 38 but he can still pitch. He might not be at the top of the list for the Mets but he should be ON the list as someone they should sign!
