If you go by Joel Sherman in the post the Mets have offered 2 years and 25M to K Rod . The Mets are using the economy and the fact that they are the only large market team that is interested K Rod. His agent Paul Kinzer mentions that things are drastically different then they were a couple of months ago when he wanted to see K Rod get 5 years at 75 million.
Hopefully this tatic will not backfire and see the Mets gets trumped by another team when they get word of what the Mets are offering.
