Omar Minaya did not waste a moment when he arrived in Vegas last night. It already been reported that Omar met Francisco Rodriguez shortly after arriving last night. Omar has mentioned in the past that the Mets hope to leave Las Vegas with a closer for 2009.
He also mentions that he thinks some trades that the groundwork have been layed out might be able to have the trigger pulled this week. Read the latest on Omar first meeting here
One trade that will not happened is trying to obtain catcher Gerald Laird from the tigers. It has been reported that he has been traded to the Detroit Tigers.
Hopefully when friday rolls around Met fans will be happy with what went on this week in Vegas.
