On MLB hot stove last night , Jon Heyman mentions that Derek Lowe rejected the Mets offer of 12 million per year cause he is looking for 16M per year and says that there are other teams interested. He says the Phillies and the Braves are interested and of course with Boras a mystery team.
I don't think the Braves are interested since they have been on record to say that they don't want someone that old right now and commit that $$ . I also don't think the Phillies are involved. They have a ton of money tied up in arbitration cases.
If the "Mystery" team is the Brewers that i can see since they were willing to offer C C a ton of cash. Lowe has mentioned in the past that he wants to come back to the east coast and Milwaukee is not really on the cost the last time I checked.
Also on the show, Omar Minaya did confirm interest in Randy Wolf. Stay tuned.
