Shea Jones's father Chipper had some comments about the Mets -Phillies fued . He mentions that the 2 teams should keep there mouths shut and just play ball. He mentions that the Braves had class when they won it for 14 years by beating team on the field not with there mouth.
He also goes on to mention that the "richer get richer" in regards to the Mets signings. I think Chipper is a little jealous. For a guy that is so concerned about class and keeping his mouth shut why is he flapping his gums now.
I am not a big fan of the Mets and Phillies taking S$%# to each other the last couple of years and with K ROD now on the Mets I am sure he will be opening his mouth a little once the season starts. I also think the media plays a big game in this. Of course no one forced Cole Hamels to open his mouth and mention the Mets are choke artists. He will need to back his words up when he comes to Shea in 09.
