Did Mets actually offer a deal to Lowe?

With the Braves meeting with Lowe yesterday some interesting words have come out of that talk from none other then Scott Boras himself.

With Lowe now having the Braves showing some interest Scott Boras is saying the Mets never offered Derek Lowe 3 years and 36 million and that would be far to low anyway he said.

This is getting interesting. Was there an offer or it Boras just trying to blow smoke in front of the Braves to let them know it will take a lot more then 40 million to obtain Derek Lowe.

Is it spring training yet? Can we just see Lowe go somewhere so we can move on ?
