Hot Stove Heats up but not for the Mets.

Well there were some deals completed today on the first full business day of the new year for most teams.

The Rays have there new DH with the 2 year 16 million dollar deal they worked out with previous Met killer Pat Burrell. The Mets will see him when the Rays come to Citi Field this year. The Rays had previously bought out Cliffy Floyd's contract for 2009.

Also the cubs got Milton Bradley signed to a 3 year 30 million dollar deal. Now I guess we will see Adam Dunn and Jason Giambi get signed soon.

Nothing new on the Mets front today. We sit here and wait. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
