Mets trying to unload Ramon Castro?

In a bits and pieces post, Joel Sherman mentions the Mets have been looking to move Ramon Castro and his 2.5M salary in a trade.

They want to use his salary to sign a left reliever or a right handed bat off the bench. The Mets think that Robinson Cancel can be a capable backup to Schneider.

I do not agree . Castro, a righty hitter, has good pop in his bat which Cancel does not. Yes Ramon has injury issues but I would take him over Cancel . If the Mets want to unload his salary to obtain a real hitter like Abreu or egads Griffey..then ok but at same time the Mets need him since he hits from the right side which the Mets need.
