If you have not had the chance yet you should check a good article over at NJ.com which talks to Dan Warthen and how he is dealing with the intense media scrutiny of coaching in New York.
Warthen has received some flack from the media in regards to comments he made about Perez and his work ethic while in the WBC and the difference of opinion in where Santana was with his work schedule when he had the so called elbow issue.
Dan seems to be just what the Mets needed after dealing with the “Coat” the last couple of years and will adjust I am sure to the media hounds. You have to be impressed in how he has helped stabilize Ollie Perez since he took over as pitching coach last summer.
