Jerry Manuel looking for something that is not there

The term is killer instinct. Jerry Manuel discusses it in an article over at the NY Daily News The Mets seem to be fresh out of that. They have been for 2 years. This year is starting off the same. The team lacks the ability to finish. The Mets had a lead last night and John Maine let them back in.

This killer instinct is something the Mets need to find. They need to be able to believe they are in it to the end. They might think they are but they need to act on it. Ramon Castro got the Mets back in the game in the 8th with a home run that made it 6-5. Delgado showed a little fire last night after he struck out after a 10 pitch at bat against Heath Bell. Wright and Murphy before Delgado went down with out much of a fight.

What the Mets need is stop making errors and mental mistakes. The team needs to focus on every play. This team as Omar would say " on paper " is a playoff team. The team could not wait until the spring was over. Well its over but they are not playing like a team that realizes that at times.

Full throttle needs to happen now!
