Figueroa Pulled From Start

According to Adam Rubin - Surfing The Mets, Nelson Figueroa was pulled after throwing 32 pitches in his game today. The prevailing thought is that Figgy will be called up to start Sunday's game against the Brewers for Mike Pelfrey, who has tendinitis in his pitching arm.

To make room for Figueroa, the Mets might need to offer Darren O'Day back to Angels, where the Mets claimed him in the Rule V draft. A player claimed from the Rule V draft must remain on the Major League roster for the entire year, or be offered back to his original team.
