Of course it is only 1 game. Well if we go back 1 year would this game have the same outcome ? Who knows but maybe that's why Johan Santana was giving everyone chest bumps before the game started. He was a little more relaxed it being his 2nd year with the club and also I am sure it has to do with the fact that Mets went out and did the right things in getting Putz and K Rod this off season.
Well it paid off in the first game of the 2009 season as Ryan Church was quoted in the Daily News "They're as advertised. It just shows you: seven, eight, nine, boom, it's over." The 7th inning was pitched by Mets newcomer Sean Green .
Now of course this script can not be used every day but it will be placed in the heads of the Mets rivals Phillies before long that if you get to the 8th against the Mets without a lead the game is over!

Couple of notes. Lots of noise being made around the Internet about the Mets left alot of men on base . 1 game let it go. Wright though did not look up to the challenge. Hojo he needs some extra time in the cage.

although its only 1 game, this is how it should be all season long. shorten the game to 18 outs. Frankie, JJ, & Sean...our blue & orange 3 headed monster!!!
