Alex Cora Mets players can learn from a professional.

When the Mets signed Alex Cora back in January it did not get the fan fare of the K Rod signing or the JJ Putz deal but it was a move that you have to given Kudos to the Mets brass because this guy knows how to play the game.

The 33 yr old so far is hitting .321 and had another pinch hit up the middle in last nights game. Besides the fact the he is locked in for now at the plate the guy is a born leader on the field.

When he was playing second base in a game at Citi Field he tried to deek a runner into thinking that he caught the ball by just pounding his fist in the glove. He did not have the ball but Cora gets it. He does everything he can to help out his team I know he is backup and sometimes I wish he was out there more then Luis Castillo and his slap hitting style.

When Alex Cora is in the game I know there will be a play that he can make a difference on. I hope Reyes is learning from him since I do not see Castillo being the leader that Cora can be.
