I have to tell you that I am not a big fan of these 10pm starts. I watch like 3 innings and then boom done. Well tonight I dvr the game and of course did not set for more then 3 hours and missed the 9th inning.
Some notes from the game.
David Wright was a running fool. He stole 4 times off of Bengie Molina and Giants pitching staff. He had 3 steals in a game 2 other times in his career but never 4.
John Maine who struggled with his fast ball location in the first held the Giants in check and after 6 innings and a 108 pitches Jerry Manuel sent him out to the mound in the 7th. I love that. Love to see these guys pitch past the 100 pitch count. He got 2 outs and Stokes got the last one.
Bobby Parnell choked in his new 8th inning role. He gave up 2 runs so the Giants tied the score 4-4.
Carlos Beltran steals 3rd . He loves stealing 3rd. At least this one he was actually safe.
K Rod closes the door on 10 pitches in the bottom of the 9th for the Mets first win on this 10 game road trip!
