Another Met heads to the DL as the rest of the hapless crew loses to the Bucs 3-1

When the Mets played the Marlins and for the first 3 innings of Monday’s game against the Bucs everyone was pitching in on the offensive side. Now everyone lays quiet.

As Ramon Martinez heads to NY to have is pinkie checked out the Mets now have to decide who to bring to Pittsburgh. Martinez forgot how to slide on a tag up play and probably dislocated his pinkie making Jerry Manuel job easier when it comes to who should stay with the team
Sheffield is favoring his knee with a slight hamstring. Of course nothing wrong with David Wright except he can not buy a hit. He has added nothing to the offensive side of the ball. He has only 3 home runs this year and here we are in the first week of June!

Carlos Beltran was not even in uniform. Johan Santana had 1 bad inning and gets the loss. The Mets need to get back on track with a win from the Big Belf tonight.

Sooner or later you knew the luck with the lineup the Mets were using would leave them and be hard pressed scoring any runs. Will that stop tonight?
