In the Park Chipper Jones calls the largest Park he has played in Mets blast 3 in victory

Actually there was 7 home runs a record at this point for Citi Field/AKA Shea Nu-GHMP. The Mets really could have had 5 but the 16ft wall stopped Gary Sheffield and Fernando Tatis from hitting home runs by about 2-3 ft.

Ryan Church hit the deciding home run when he was the first player to hit into the Citi Field Apple. Check out video of Ryan Church's Apple Home Run. Will we see Church tonight since Jerry Manuel likes to reward players?

As Keith said a couple of times during the broadcast it was a really good game. The Mets even when they fell behind came right back. The Mets were able to score off the Phillies bullpen after J A Haap was lifted .

David Wright and Carlos Beltran also homered for the Mets. Jimmy Rollins who was hitting in the .220's when he arrived at Citi Field had 3 hits including a 2 run homer.

Johan Santana's chop hit down the right field line was huge, as also was Alex Cora hit up the middle with 2 outs. This guy is so important to the Mets cause he gets it. When the Mets just need a hit he produces. Personally I am so glad he was not lost for surgery. Luis Castillo was the only Met regular without a hit.

Johan Santana gave up 5 earned runs. He was a strike throwing machine. The Phillies tagged him for 4 home runs. Gary in the booth wonders if there is something wrong with him. I am like he throws a couple of perfect pitches that the Phils teed off on. His strike outs are down in the last 2 starts but he still battles.
