With the Mets victory last night there seems to be some scribing going on about how this game was the best game so far at Citi Field? Johan Santana might not agree. He gave up 4 home runs for only the second time in his career. His ERA went up again to 2.39. He was not overpowering after he got the 2 strikeouts in the second inning.
Of course if the Mets did not win. If Pedro gave up a moon shot instead of a double play or if Ryan Church simply popped out the game could have been drastically different. Was it the best game at Citi Field so far? Lets just say this. It was nice to see no errors on the Mets part. Only error last night was the umps calling out Tatis who was clearly safe at home.
Check out the local papers and read what they had to say about the Mets win. Especially the NY Post and its take on was it the best game.
