With the Mets losing 2 out of 3 to the Phillies and the Yankees having blown a late inning lead last night wound up being swept in Boston both teams lick there wounds as they head into Yankee Stadium tonight.
The Mets played another extra inning game last night and lost to the Phillies 6-3. The Mets could not score again against the Phillie bullpen. They are really starting to show how weak they are in the lineup after the number 5 hitter. The Mets fell to 4 games out of first . They are now 31 and 27. They are 13-16 on the road has they head to Yankee Stadium for the first time today.
Livan Hernandez faces Joba Chamberlin. Livan was moved up to give John Maine more time to rest before he was placed on the DL after last nights game.
