Time To Make Some Noise

The Mets stroll in Philadelphia today to begin a Holiday Weekend three game series. The Mets enter this series in second place, one game behind both Philadelphia and Florida.

For this to be a successful trip, the Mets need to take two of three, which would leave them tied with the Phillies.

For all of our woes as Mets fans, the Phillies find themselves in worse shape. The Phillies have been miserable for a few weeks now, which has allowed the Mets to stay in the hunt despite their poor play.

Now it's time to put a deeper crack in the Phillie foundation.
The pitchers for this weekend are:

Friday: RHP Livan Hernandez (5-3, 4.04) vs. RHP Rodrigo Lopez (5-4, 3.91 at Triple-A Lehigh Valley), 7:05 p.m. (SNY, WFAN, WADO)

Saturday: RHP Fernando Nieve (3-1, 2.25) vs. LHP Jamie Moyer (6-6, 6.05), 4:05 p.m. (FOX, WFAN, WADO)

Sunday: LHP Johan Santana (9-6, 3.34) vs. RHP Joe Blanton (4-4, 5.08), 1:35 p.m. (PIX11, WFAN, WADO)

Sunday's game proves most interesting considering the problems Johan Santana has had over the last month. Hopefully with the calendar changing from June to July, Santana's fortunes will change also.

We here are 24 Hours From Suicide...A Day In The Life Of A Met Fan wish everyone a happy and safe holiday weekend.
