How much longer will we see Billy Wagner as a Met?

At least last night there was something to cheer about. The Mets former closer Billy Wagner came in the game in the 8th inning. The Mets a team that is a shell of themselves during the time Wagner has been on the DL gave the fans something to applaud has he emerged from the bullpen last night.

He struck out 2 batters and got Chipper Jones on a fly out to right field. He had a little trouble throwing strikes to Chipper but is fastball was electric hitting 95mph during his inning.

After he struck out McCann he left to another standing ovation which was sweet. Wagner the competitor made the Met fans remember what it was like to have a 1 2 3 inning from there closer.

Now will the Mets dump him to a team that needs a lefty reliever? Will he be around to be in another game for the Mets who are going no where? For his sake I hope he gets to play for a team in contention. The Wilpons might need to let him go to save a little dough. That is fine at least for 1 night we had something to cheer about.
