The Mets head to Arizona winning the last game of the 4 game series against the last place Padres by the score of 5-1. Johan Santana was strong through the game and gave up 1 run . He also contributed 2 hits , a rbi and a walk.
The Mets scored early and never gave up the lead. K Rod came in the 9th with a 4 run lead and gave up a double and no runs.
The Mets have Mike Pelfrey starting on Monday against Doug Davis in Arizona. Pelf's start was moved back due to the birth of his child on Tuesday.
