The Mets do need a pitcher to eat innings. There are a bunch of names out there. Halladay might be dangled. The Mets could break the bank on John Lackey or save some $$ and go after someone like sinker ball pitcher Joel Pinerio. I hope not.
In a blog over at Ghost of Moonlight Graham Adam discusses how people should compare him to a free agent last year and a bust this yeah Kyle Lohse . The Cardinals have not been able to work wonders with him this year with him going 5-8 with an ERA close to 5.
Pinerio was not someone I had interest in being a Met in 2010. Mosty due to him right now just being a flash in the pan under Duncans tuleage. There are other fish in the sea that I think the Mets should target.
