Mets need to steer ship away from Jose Guillen

Like most rumors this one should just stay a rumor. There has been chatter that the Royals Jose Guillen would approve a trade to the NY Mets.

Well thats great we dont want him. The Royals have asking for Angel Pagan. Thats nice they cant have him.

The Mets dont need to trade an aging player that is being paid 12M for a guy that if he kept his head in the game is a great asset to the Mets.

The Mets need to make some smart moves in the off season and trading for Guillen would be just plain stupid.

In other news F Mart has starting playing in winter ball coming off his surgery. It has been reported the Mets have held him back from playing to make sure he was fit due the Mets interest in possibly trading him during the off season.
