Jeff Francoeur likes the potential of a batting order including Jason Bay.

With the Mets offering a contract to free agent Left Fielder Jason Bay, reporters now are looking for input from the Mets players.

Mr Francoeur chimed in and thought having a big bat in the lineup like Bay would make the Mets a bit more scary.

"You look at championship teams what they do," Francoeur told The Post yesterday, talking about the Phils and the Yankees, "they've got guys like
Raul Ibanez hitting sixth."

Of course there will be a lot of jockeying back and forth before Bay makes a moves but the Mets brass feel that there will be a lot less postering with Bay then if he was a Boris client.

With Bay and Molina and if the Mets resign Delgado to platoon with Murphy some days the lineup could be

Reyes,Beltran,Wright,Delgado,Bay,Francoeur,Molina,Castillo and the pitcher.

A little bit different then having players like Sullivan,Reed and Schnieder.
