Well the Phillies have there ace now. Halladay will be pitching against Santana some time in the spring as the Phillies sent Lee to the Mariners. The Phillies did have to give up some of there top prospects in pitcher Kyle Drabek and outfielder Michael Young. Then the Red Sox signed John Lackey without the Mets making an offer. As teams make moves the Mets have 2 offers and nothing to show for it.
Bay seems to be shopping before he makes a decision and Molina wants a 3 rd year added to his contract. Here is my take. If you want Bay sign him to 5 years. If you dont want him for 5 let him go sign with the Angels or the Mariners. Let Molina walk and sign Torreabla who will have a grievance hearing in NY on Wed. Stop waiting on these guys and get the led out Omar!
Mike Cameron also signed with the Red Sox so Bay is not going to Boston. Also the Cards offered some crazy deal ( 7 or 8 years possibly ) that probably makes Bay want to see if he can extend his deal to 5 or 6 years now.
The Mets might be interested in Chin Man Wang . Yes we need more injured players.
