Mets non tender 4

As we wake up on the east coast it looks like the Mets have non tendered 4 players from there 2009 team. Joining Tim Redding and Jeremy Reed is Reed's clone Cory Sullivan and pitcher Lance Broadway. They are now free agents and can sign with any club. I thought since Sullivan was pretty cheap and had extra base power the Mets might keep him. Broadway came to the Mets in the Ramon Castro Deal.

Other players around that weren't tendered a contract include, Chin Ming Wang of the Yanks, Ryan Garko of the Giants who the Mets might want to take a look at when it comes to a platoon with Murphy if they don't sign Delgado. The 29 year old Garko hit 13 homers last year playing first base and the outfield for the Giants and the Indians in 118 games.

Also relief pitcher Mike Macdougal was non tendered by the Nationals along with pitcher Scott Olsen. Jack Cust of the A's .

The Rays did sign Dioner Navarro to a 1 year deal late yesterday.
