Who has who over the coals?

While eastern long island does it best to shovel out of the 24+ inches we got of the white powdery stuff the Mets still have heard nothing from Bay and Molina. Well that doesn't mean Omar needs to extend another year to there contracts.

Especially with 35 year old Molina. If the Mets have offered him 2 years at 12 M then up it to 15 over 2 years but don't add a 3rd year. Everybody including Molina know the Mets have Thole who will be honing his skills in Buffalo in 2010 waiting in the wings. No one needs at that point a 38 year old catcher.

When it comes to Bay to me to add a 5 year to his contract offer while the Mets are back loading his offer as it is will make the Mets stuck with a guy if his production goes down untradeable. Omar look at your second baseman before you commit to this.

If Bay and Molina want to go elsewhere then let them. Bay really doesn't have any suitors if he did he would have signed already. Make a trade for and outfielder and offer some one less then Molina a contract. We don't need a bunch of stiffs tied to extended contracts.

Plus, Mr. Carl Crawford is a free agent at the end of 2010. He is a better fielder, better average, better speed, but less power. In a park like this, power will become a weakness due to how large the gaps are.
