Will Omar make a splash at the Winter Meetings next week?

Last year Omar and crew were pretty busy working on deals for K Rod and a trade for J JPutz and crew. Well Putz didnt work out so well but K Rod is what Mets fans wanted and Omar delivered. Of course it didnt really matter. Well going into the Meetings the Mets have some needs. Will they...

Try to sign a front line starter? Will Omar go 100M and sign Lackey? Or will go after a guy like Joel Pinerio or Randy Wolf.

The Mets needs a left fielder. Will they go after Jason Bay or Matt Holliday or will they maybe work a trade. Of course my partner in crime wants some guy named Crawford in Tampa but I dont see the Rays trading him.

The Mets are in a wait and see mode for Delgado. They wont approach a guy like Adam LaRoche since he wants a mutli year deal because of Ike Davis. I say if you can get La Roche for 2 years sign him. Give Davis some time to season himself.

The Mets also need a thumper off the bench. This has been a problem for this team for years. They invest big with the starters and leave role players on the bench who cant hit a homer. Besides Tatis the Mets could count on no one off the bench to hit a home run. That needs to change. If you keep Pagan who would be your # 4 outfielder then get a home run bat for your 5th outfielder.

With everyone saying its a slow start to the off season we might not see much in the way of deals but maybe Omar has something up his sleeves to excite the Mets fan base.

What is your take?
