The Mets hope to announce the signing of Jason Bay in the coming days as he is in New York today to take a physical. The Mets will be looking at Bay’s shoulder. Of course this is the same physicians that held back on Jose Reyes and his leg issues.
Carlos Delgado played yesterday for the first time since he had hip surgery last May . Delgado who the Mets will watch I am sure singled in 4 at bats while being a DH. The Mets might want him to spell Murphy at first base depending on well Delgado performs in the Puerto Rico winter league and depending on how much Delgado wants to make $$ wise. Delgado has said all along that he would enjoy coming back and playing for the Mets.
