John Smoltz a Met?

Not sure I can deal with seeing Smoltz a NY Met. As per the Daily News the Mets are showing interest in the 42 year old.

It was enough dealing with Glavine in a Met uniform. The Mets still think that Smoltz can pitch. I would think they would get more for there money with trying to sign a guy like Garland or Doug Davis. I don't think the former Brave has the ability anymore to give much especially if the Mets think he can start. I mean I know he is a gamer but the guy is 42 years young already.

Smoltz, who turns 43 in May, was 2-5 with a 8.32 ERA when he was released by the Red Sox last year and went 1-3 with a 4.26 ERA for the Cardinals over the final six weeks of the season.

Check out our latest poll and let us know who you think the Mets should sign.
