The Mets had some of there players that have been doing some rehabbing arrive today at there minicamp. As per Ken Davidoff of Newsday there was Mr. Johan Santana, Mr space cadet Oliver Perez, Jonathon Niese back from his horrible leg injury, Daniel Murphy who just loves to play, Eddie Kunz, Chris Carter (acquired in the Billy Wagner trade), Jack Egbert (a waiver claim last September) and catcher Mike Nickeas, whom the Mets acquired from Texas in 2006 in return for Victor Diaz
Santana had this to say today "To get on the field finally, after six weeks of the end of the season last year, and also the offseason, it’s good," said "I’ve been doing all of my throwing and everything, but to be here, and good, is a good feeling."
The boys play catch for a couple of days. Lucky B’.
The Mets brass arrived later in the day which included Omar, the Wilpons, Ricco and of course Jerry and Wayne Krivsky.
I am sure John Maine will be there as well and Kelvin Escobar. No Jose or Beltran.
