Members Of '86 Team To Play In Charity Softball Game

Members of the 1986 Mets World Championship team are slated to play in a charity softball game to assist children who have lost a parent, sibling or other loved one.

The game is to be played at Tradition Field in St. Lucie West for the fifth annual Treasure Coast Hospice v. St. Lucie Mets Charity Softball Game.

According to TCPalm:

"Gates open at 4 p.m. (February 20th) with Mets players conducting the John McHale Baseball Clinic designed for children who have lost a parent, sibling or other loved one.

Following the clinic, the friendly showdown will get under way. A fireworks finale will complete the event at the ballpark.

Tickets are $6; kids under 12 are free. Proceeds will benefit Camp Good Grief — a youth camp designed for children to have a place to express their grief with others who have had a similar experience.

Tickets may be purchased at Tradition Field. Sponsorship packages are available and begin at $100. For sponsorship details, contact Anne Marie Davidson at (772) 403-4406."
