Mets & Endy Re-Unite?

Mike Puma - NY Post says the Mets are among several teams vying for the services of ‘Crowd Favorite’ - Endy Chavez.

Endy, man of the miraculous catch, had a terrible injury to his knee last year while playing for the Seattle Mariners. He had major surgery, and expects to be ready to play by May, and if real fortunate, April.

Jon Paul Morosi of Fox Sports writes:

"Chavez has made rapid progress after major surgery on his right knee and could be ready to play in May -- perhaps even April, according to the most optimistic projections."

Other teams interested in Chavez’s services are believed to be: Mets, Mariners, Blue Jays, Astros and Royals.

After what is considered by many fans as a poor off-season for the Mets, if they do sign Endy Chavez, many will rejoice. Endy was traded to Seattle as part of the deal that brought JJ Putz to Flushing. If he were to return, it might rank up there with MacArthur

ummmm...not for nothing, and i always liked Endy, not taht i ever considered him more than a fourth outfielder, but, i digress....rightfully you and others have jumped on the mets for there bringing in of other players coming off injury or plagued by injury following last season, why is that any different for Endy? Endy doesn't offer any great upside. Now Bedard or Sheets, i could understand...but these otehrs....ehhh.
