Manager Jerry Manuel spinning his tales on the Radio today.

The Mets manager on WFAN earlier today thinks his team can tread water while Reyes and Beltran are out. He thinks his pitching will be fine. Blind optimism? He has seen some things. Of course he has.

Ask him about the bullpen. No decisions. He is still looking at results. He will be using tonight’s game to help them make some decisions in the bullpen. No 8th inning guy. There is a shock.

From what I tell from what Jerry is saying, we can expect Mejia on the roster. He wants him and is still working on the Mets brass. He also wants Tejada.

Chris Carter will be sent down and Frankie C will make the team. Going with experience and defense.

Jacobs will be batting 4th to split up Wright and Bay and expect Tatis to get some starts at 1st base against lefties. He feels Murphy’s defense will be missed. Never thought you would hear that.

The bullpen is still up for grabs!!! Opening day is less then 72 hours away and nothing decided. Simply amazing….

Jerry will wait until the 11th hour on Sunday to provide MLB with his 25 man roster. Mejia should be in the minors getting some starts, not at the pros being a reliever. Can you say Joba Chamberlain East?
