Morning pitch: Ike Davis, Dillion Gee doing well for Buffalo

As the Mets start the road trip with a game against the Rocking tonight, The Mets triple aaa team coming off a loss last night in Syracuse await there home opener Wednesday where they will see Dice K pitching rehab for the Pawtauket RedSox.

Ike Davis after 5 games is hitting .375 with 2 homers and 2 doubles for the Bisons who start the season so far after yesterday's loss 3-2. Of course Mets fans would like to see Davis moved to the big club since Jacobs is struggling but the Mets prefer to keep the big guy down on the farm for now.

Dillion Gee only gave up 2 hits in first start the other day. He pitched six innings and struck out 4. Pat Misch is continuing where he left off in spring. In his first start he scattered 5 hits in 6 innings while striking out 4.

Josh Thole is having a Nick Evans kind of start to his year. He his 1 for first 16. Speaking of Evans he is down in double a Binghamton playing first for the B-Mets.
