As Mets fans wake up today there is optimisim for the 2010 season. I mean we will be realists that this team is not built to win 100 games like Wright mentioned during yesterdays workout which Newsday has some pictures from here .
Meaningful games in September would be nice. Watching Reyes run out some triples in Citi Field. Pelfrey pitching a shutout. Ollie going 8 innings without walking anyone. Maine actually striking out 7 in a game. Wright hitting a homer to left. Franceuour throwing out the tieing run at the plate. That type of magic would be sweet.
As fans go the Citi Field today and see the new hall of fame, check out the kid fest and watch the opening festivities all I can say is that yeah I am pretty jealous since I will be at work . Its ok though you know why? The season is finally here and the off season was way too long. Lets GO METS!
