Mets 2010 Opening Day Lineup

Thanks to Kevin Burkhardt for passing along General Jerry's 2010 Opening Day Lineup:

SS Cora
2B Castillo
3B Wright
1B Jacobs
LF Bay
CF Matthews
RF Francoeur
C Barajas

P Santana

I wonder what the reason of Matthews over Pagan is. I have a feeling it might have something to do with Pagan's incessant vapor locks, or that he isn't as good of a CF as he is reported to be. Watch him play everyday, and you quickly realize he is no better than a fourth OF.

With a lineup like this, the sky's the limit. How much longer before Jose and Carlos come back?

Not only will Monday mark the beginning of the 2010 season, but it will officially mark the Jerry-Omar watch in main street media.

We've been waiting a long time for tomorrow to come, and it is now upon us. I know we don't necessarily have a warm-fuzzy feeling starting this season, but if we get only a couple of more wins from each Mets starter, the team can be vastly improved over last year.

It's difficult, but we must keep the optimism.

I'm ready. Are you?

Play Ball!
