I dont know how the Mets feel but after watching that game All I can say is the wind was taking out of the sails after just 3 innings in the 11-3 loss to the Rockies.
"I hate everything about what is going on right now," he said. "It's just frustrating." Quips John Maine after the loss. I never liked Maine's demeanor and really do not think he is much for the rotation. There was some talk about yanking him from the rotation so Im sure it will be fodder for the next couple of days before his start on SUN which is on ESPN. If your going to win you have to throw strikes and not walk everyone. I mean he hit the 8th place guy and gave up a double to the pitcher!!!among other mini disasters. (see pic)
Ok yes positives. Here is one "Nuke" Ala David Wright stroked a home run. He is on pace for over 40+ dingers after having 2 homers in 7 games. He has already doubled his home run production of last April when he hit only 1. Good going !
Castillo might have been thrown out on that double where he was clearly safe but I appreciate the fact that he didn't want to give up. Ok we were 8 runs down at that point but he was aggressive and he didn't drop any pop ups!
Raul Valdes...comes in and gives the Mets 2 innings no runs and a couple of k's. There paying Sean Green how much?
Jason Bay finally got a rbi!!! woohoo!! He is only 18 behind his total for last April!
