On night where Bengie Molina whined about how the Mets sat on there offer during the off season,, The Mets catcher Rod Barajas continued to show that Citi Field is not that big by hitting 2 home runs. The second home run was of the very exciting walk off variety.
With the Mets tied at 4 in the 9th , Ike Davis walked and Rod Barajas hit a towering shot that just cleared the fence in left field for the Mets 6-4 victory.
Davis himself hit 2 home runs and had a great flip over the dugout fence catch of a foul pop up in the top of the 9th.
Exciting victory for the Mets which saw Mike Pelfrey pitch 7 and 1/3 innings. He gave up 3 runs. K Rod lost the lead in the 9th by giving up a dinger . Jason Bay finally got a 2 out hit with a double in the first scoring Jose Reyes .
Barajas has had 3 games with 2 dingers and now has 9 for the season and 101 for his career.
Davis and Barajas hit back to back homers in the 2nd inning. It was the first walk off home run for the Mets going back to Aug 2008 from David Wright against the Padres.
