Accoding to MLB.com Todd Zolecki the Pitcher was Designated For Assignment to make room for Brad Lidge.
It is noted that Figgy has not told the Phillies yet if he will report to the minors if he claimed by waivers.

i think that the mets should send oliver back 2 mexico. he is just thinking about him and his agent and not the team.the mets should eat the contract and give oliver the 20 million so he can cash that in pesos.
