Hey anyone want to shoot me a free ticket and a back seat so I can watch a game or 2 down in Camden yards while the Mets face the wait until 2011 Baltimore Orioles? Yeah I didn’t think so. Oh well worth a shot.
If you have not seen a game down there in that park you need to check one out. Tickets should be easy to come by these days since the Orioles are giving the ’62 Mets a run for there $$ with there awful 16 win season so far. Oh wait they won last night so make it 17.
Anyway good ole Camden Yards is a pretty cool place to see a game. It opened in '92 as the first retro ball parks that really encompasses the closeness those old parks gave the fans. They have nice features including of course Boog Powell ribs. I was lucky enough to see a game down there last year when the Red Sox were in town and I was visiting friends. The area behind the outfield where the warehouse is pretty cool but I did feel a bit out of touch with the game. There is an area behind the out of town scoreboards where you can stand and get a view of the action but out by the warehouse you kind of get lost in the goings on around you. They could use more TV’s out there if you ask me. They do have a cool touch of having little plaques of where balls were hit out there. All and all a pretty cool place to take in a Met game.
If you like Ribs check out Boogs. Honestly though I prefer a certain “Bulls” ribs at a park that is more like a band box.
