Animal Goes Yard!

Mets DH, Chris Carter, more commonly know as 'Animal' , just hit his first Major League HR.

Carter, who many Mets fans believed should have made the team out of Spring Training, was assigned to AAA Buffalo. Carter didn't sulk, and worked his tail off, so when the Mets had an opening, Carter's number was called.

Carter hasn't had many opportunities, but did hit a double in the second game of the Mets double header against the Padres last night.

In his second AB tonight, Carter took Baltimore's starter, Jeremy Guthrie , yard for not only his first Major League HR, but it was a three run shot that has given the Mets a 4-0 lead.

Congratulations to Chris Carter, who at 27 has finally had the chance to hit his first HR.
