Mets announced earlier today that Carlos Beltran will start his minor league rehab on Thursday of this week. That will start the 20 day clock on his return to the Mets. If all goes according to the 20 day schedule with no set backs, Beltran has to be activated in time to start the 2nd half of the season right after the All Star Break. Of course he could be activated sooner.
If the Mets decide to wait and give him the full 20 days theyl have a long road trip and will start it in San Fran against the Giants and that first game on the 15th of July we could see Beltran ready to roam. Manager Jerry said if all goes according to plan, Beltran will be playing Centerfield so look for Pagan and Frenchie to split time in right.
