Big Pelf going for his ninth win against only one loss. He has posted a respectable 2.39 ERA this season, and has proven to be the "go-to- guy" to stop losing streaks. The Padres are sending Clayton Richard to the mound tonight. Richard is 4-3 with an equally impressive 2.87 ERA. In his last start against the Mets on June 2nd, he pitched six innings allowing no runs. He walked four and struck out five Mets.
The Mets lost 5-1 when Raul Valdes surrendered a Grand Slam to Adrian Gonzales in the 11th inning.
