Ahhh the move is finally in the books! Oliver Perez has knee tendinitis.He complained of a knee issue and had a MRI yesterday. He is being placed on the 15 day DL. The Mets are shipping him down to Florida right away to rehab. Jon Niese is Activated and will pitch today. Marlins have 13 wins against lefties.
Now is this a knee issue or does Ollie have some sort of head issue. If Perez had issues prior to Friday that might explain his lack of velocity.

This just in; Perez DL'd for Brain Cramps. More commonly known as Brain Farts!
There's nothing wrong with Perez' knee.
This smells of compromise. Ollie was DL-ed to save face. No way was he going down to the minors on a straight roster move. Instead, he's DL-ed and, once he's "better", he can make a few starts in the minors without having to suffer the indignity of being sent down.
