Mets showing interest in Ted Lilly?

According to MLB Rumors the Mets might be interested in 34 year old Ted Lilly. My first question is what do you give up for the 34 year old whose strikeouts are down and walks are up. He is no Cliff Lee that is for sure. His ERA is a decent 3.28 with a 2-6 record for the hapless Cubbies. He is owed a little over 6 Million this year. Not sure if the Cubs would want to part with him.

Last year was the first year for Lilly to have less then 30 starts since 2003 so he has been pretty durable but is he much of an upgrade at this point.

Mets might not have the weapons to chase after Lee if Mejia is not able to rebound from his shoulder Stiffness.
